She completed her final placement at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan which was a highly valuable experience for her career. She completed volunteer work in 2015 with the Rotary Medical Mission and Cataract Foundation in the Philippines, where she helped reverse preventable blindness in disadvantaged communities.
