Amanda Rees is the CEO and Co-founder of Bold, a digital health company that provides clinical exercise programs to prevent falls, manage arthritis, and improve functional fitness for older adults. A recent study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR) shows that users of Bold’s Fall Prevention Program demonstrate a 46% decrease in annualized falls per year and 206% increase in weekly minutes of physical activity. She will discuss the importance of exercise and behavior change in closing the gap between health span and life span, and how the company works with healthcare organizations to help members age boldly.
Amanda Rees is CEO and Co-Founder of Bold. After being a caregiver for 8 years, she started the company with a mission to close the gap between healthspan and lifespan by using technology to improve the way we age. Prior to starting Bold, Amanda worked at the Schmidt Family Foundation, and she has a BSE in chemical & biological engineering from Princeton University. She has been a fitness instructor for over a decade, teaching dance, yoga, indoor cycling, and tai chi.
