Summer Allergy Season
Dr. Jeanne Lomas, Director of Allergy Services at WellNow Allergy discusses ways to help patients see a decrease in their symptoms so they can get outside and enjoy the summer season. She shares tactics on how to get through allergy season, why otc drugs don’t always work and when it’s time to seek medical help, what to expect when getting tested for seasonal allergies, and what allergy treatments are made of and how they work.
Dr. Jeanne Lomas is a board certified, experienced pediatric and adult allergist & immunologist currently overseeing growth and expansion of the allergy service line for WellNow Urgent Care.
She is active in clinical practice and patient care as well as a leader in clinical operations and provider education.
Her interests include immunotherapy, access to care and community advocacy, food allergy, FPIES, atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EoE, EGID) and antibiotic stewardship.
Previously, Dr. Lomas was the founder and co-director of the only multidisciplinary eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) clinic in Upstate NY and Clinical Director of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology for URMC Pediatric Allergy, including managing of clinical trials.
