He is Chair of the Advisory Committee of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Reducing Healthcare Associated Infection at the Queensland University of Technology. He is also Chair of the Board of the Population Data Linkage Project in Western Australia. He was appointed Chair of the IHMRI Board in March 2014 and has played an integral role in growing what is, in effect, a relatively young institute.
