New Nursing Program on Link Between Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease
Dr. Michael Radin, Executive Director, Medical Affairs, U.S. at Novo Nordisk discusses the launch of a nursing education program with contributions from the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association called “Making the Connection.” The program’s goal is to increase the understanding and support nurses in educating their patients about the link between type 2 diabetes and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). Dr. Michael Radin is the Executive Director at Novo Nordisk, and his area of specialization is adult endocrinology. Dr. Radin is currently affiliated with NYU Langone as a clinical assistant professor of medicine. He has been in the medical field for 17 years and before completing his residency at a hospital affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Dr. Radin attended medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
