Brent spent 11 years gaining broad Senior Executive experience in a variety of roles with Australian medical device manufacturer Cochlear Limited. Brent relocated to the United States working for Cochlear Americas, where he held senior Operations and Sales roles based in Colorado and Texas.  During this time, he established a US Manufacturing subsidiary, where product was manufactured and business audited by the FDA with no observations.  Mr Barnes returned to Sydney in 2011 to take up roles including Director, Recipient Services & Operations (Asia-Pacific) and General Manager, Asia Growth Markets and Operations Director (Asia Pacific), which saw him spending 50% of his time in Asia. Brent also enjoys all sports and tries to keep fit.  He’s a keen Aussie Rules follower, and a Life Member of Sydney’s North Shore Bombers AFC. Guest Bio: Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have experienced difficulties in life as a result of the way we used to eat. We joined FA because we were obsessed with food. We find that we need this program of recovery and the fellowship of others who share our problems in order to stop abusing food and begin living fulfilling lives. Through shared experience and mutual support, we help each other to recover from the disease of food addiction.  Our program of recovery is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. We make use of AA principles to gain freedom from addictive eating. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings. Membership is open to anyone who wants help with food.

At the age of eight Ruby Mosqueda was experiencing excruciating headaches that perplexed her physicians.  When her mother, Maria Garcia, took Ruby to an optometrist for her regular comprehensive eye exam, they discovered the cause of her pain. The optometrist found a tumor the size of a golf ball that was pressing on a nerve in Ruby’s brain. The non-cancerous tumor was removed and Ruby has recovered.
