Dr. Carlos Doti is the Global Medical Affairs Head for Hematology and the Ad Interim US Hematology Franchise Head for Medical Affairs at AstraZeneca. A trained hematologist, he has exceptional medical knowledge of cancer and hematologic malignancies, and has extensive experience developing and executing portfolio / brand strategy, product launches and pricing and market access in the emerging markets. Dr. Doti joined AstraZeneca in 2016, first as a Medical Director and then as the Oncology Business Unit Director in Argentina & Uruguay, where he built his team’s infrastructure and capabilities, and then served as the lead of AstraZeneca’s Hematology Commercial team where he oversaw a cross-functional team supporting the submissions for Calquence (acalabrutinib) in 12 countries from Latin America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Today, in his current roles, he is responsible of developing the medical strategy for the Hematology Franchise supporting the launches of Calquence worldwide and building up capabilities to prepare the organization entry into Acute Myeloid Lekemia, Myelodisplastic Syndromes and aggressive Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphomas. Shaped by his previous clinical experience, Dr. Doti brings a patient-centric lens to his work, aiming to deliver treatments that have a real impact for patients across every aspect of their disease.

Dr. Doti has over 10 years of experience in the pharma industry, having served in multiple Medical Affairs roles at Novo Nordisk A/S and Pfizer before AstraZeneca. Prior to joining the private sector, he trained in Hematology at both Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, and the British Hospital in Buenos Aires, where he served as an Attending Physician for seven years.

Dr. Doti was born in Argentina, received his MD from the University of Buenos Aires and was board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology in Argentina.
