Dr. Holt attended Duke University and earned her MD degree at Wake Forest University. She is board certified in Endocrinology, and practiced general Endocrinology in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Holt then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs.

Additional roles include Assistant Consulting Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine, Co-Director for Taking Control of Your Diabetes, and Board of Directors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
