Hannah Stanley: You’re listening to Health Professional Radio. I’m Hannah Stanley. Today we’re talking about PTSD, but the way we’re talking about it is a little bit unique in that we’re going to be discussing designing to ease the symptoms of PTSD. So, medical offices or facilities where people in greater numbers, veterans who are returning or would be seeking help or treatment, would be coming. This new school of design is a little bit like disabilities, designing for those who have disabilities, which came into vogue a couple of decades ago. But the new research on what is affecting and benefitting those with PTSD is rather intriguing.

Joining me today is Brian Clauss, who is the Executive Director of the Veterans Legal Support Centre, an organisation that recently moved into a new space. As the name would indicate, ‘veterans’, they deal with the veterans population, and they took the needs of those who could be affected by PTSD into mind.

Joining me now is the Executive Director of the John Marshall Law School Veterans Legal Support Centre located in Chicago, Illinois, of the United States. You guys provide free legal services to veterans of any era, which is admirable and wonderful. However, you just moved into a new space, allowing you to serve those veterans more effectively, but took a very interesting take on the design of that space. If you could tell us a little more about that?
