Guest Bio: Casper Ozinga has a university degree in Environmental Science and became the first Certified Pedorthist in Australia under the USA system. He is also a Certified Pedorthist in Australia. Since then he has completed many courses in pedorthics, lower limb bracing and orthoses manufacture. He is currently the General Manager of the Pedorthic Association of Australia. Casper is member of the Pedorthic Association of Australia, the Pedorthic Footwear Association of USA, an Associate Member of the Australian Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, a Member Rheumatology Health Professionals Association and a member of the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Casper has travelled the world extensively and has brought to Australia the extensive knowledge, expertise, training and marketing skills in Pedorthics and is continuing to pursue the recognition Pedorthics through the Health and Allied Health professions.

We are joined by General Manager Pedorthic Association of Australia Casper Ozinga to share information about what they do. The PAA is a solid body of members committed to keeping high standards of care and skill level in this field of treatment and they welcome members, professionals in Medical Grade Footwear including custom made, extra depth and orthoses including those involved in assessment, manufacture, dispensing, modification and repair. Casper works continuously for the Association’s education and certification programme and has conducted (with the help of others) the hands on pedorthics programme at La Trobe University as part of the Australian School of Pedorthics.
