Abby Westerman is the founder of b-present Foundation and 2019 C3 Prize Emerging Ideas Winner. The foundation is inspired by her daughter, 20-year-old Kirsten Westerman, who lost her battle with leukemia in 2016. The social support network seeks to improve the experience for both young adults with cancer and their supporters by providing resources to amplify the importance of presence among young adults.
