Jasmin Makar, MD, a pediatrician with Stanford Children’s Health, discusses ways kids can stay safe as they go back to school, the importance of seasonal vaccines and year-round wellness checks.
Jasmin Makar, MD, a pediatrician with Stanford Children’s Health, was inspired to become a doctor after spending summers working with her father, also a physician. She received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After finishing her residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Dr. Makar moved to the Bay Area, where she lives with her husband, their two children, and their dog, Pickles. She enjoys running at Crissy Field in San Francisco and hanging out at the Clement Street Farmer’s Market.
