Author, Jill Rosensweig, discusses her new children’s book “Bailey Bloom and the Battle of the Bug”, (July 2020) which just received the 2020 Gold Mom’s Choice Award. Parents can use this book as a resource to facilitate discussions with their children about Covid-19, both in terms of what it is and how it is affecting them. A portion of the proceeds from every sale will go to Save the Children, a non-profit organization, which is supporting schools and community programs to feed hungry bellies and minds during the pandemic. Save the Children is also delivering medical supplies and hosting training around the globe to help health care workers protect themselves.

Jill Rosensweig grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where she spent her winters ice skating on a lake and her summers at sleep-away camp. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. After law school, she moved to Manhattan and practiced civil litigation for more than a decade before moving to Los Angeles.In 2019, Jill started a legal podcast,The Whole Truth with Jill Rosensweig, and later that same year, Jill began pursuing her lifelong goal of writing a novel, while still practicing law and caring for her two children. In the midst of working on the novel, the podcast, and her legal work, Covid-19 emerged and Bailey Bloom and the Battle of the Bug soon followed. Jill hopes this is the first of many children’s books that she can share with you all.Jill currently resides with her husband and their two children in Los Angeles. She spends her free time making Perler beads, discussing the minutiae of Sonic video games, and tending to her struggling pandemic-inspired garden.
