Increase in Bladder Cancer

May is bladder cancer awareness month and Dr. Alicia Morgans, board-certified medical oncology physician at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center discusses the rise in bladder cancer cases, the most important questions for patients to ask their doctor, and explains why these tough conversations can be so important. She also talks about the new educational campaign “Let’s Target the Tough Stuff” to help people understand the warning signs and symptoms of the disease. 

Dr. Alicia K. Morgans is a board-certified medical oncology physician at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, where she provides clinical care and conducts research in genitourinary malignancies. Since 2004, her work has been included in such publications as Urology, European Urology, Prostate, and Cancer Medicine.
