Guest Bio: Bob S. Carter, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in brain tumors, vascular lesions and complex intracranial surgery, including cerebral bypass and aneurysm surgery. Dr. Carter co-leads MGH’s brain tumor program, which brings together the efforts of over 100 faculty and staff who are focused on brain tumor clinical care, research and education. He is the Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at MGH and Visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Carter is extensively published and his work has been cited more than 15,000 times in the scientific literature. He lectures both nationally and internationally on neurosurgery topics, and is an editorial board member for the Journal of Neurosurgery and editorial advisory board member of Neurosurgery.
