Rosacea Burden and A New Campaign to Raise Awareness

Dr. Shereene Idriss, a board-certified dermatologist, and Galderma consultant discusses the new campaign “Face Up To Rosacea” that she launched in partnership with Galderma and celebrity stylist, E! TV personality, and rosacea sufferer, Brad Goreski.  The campaign is meant to encourage people frustrated with this chronic skin condition to take action by connecting with a dermatologist and starting a treatment plan.  She talks about the burden rosacea can have on people emotionally and physically and what she hears frequently from her rosacea patients.  FaceUpToRosacea.us launched in August 2020.

Shereene Idriss, M.D. is a Board Certified dermatologist that specializes in facial aesthetics and rejuvenation, as well as minimally invasive body tightening at Union Square Laser Dermatology in NYC. Dr. Idriss graduated magna cum laude from the prestigious seven-year Medical Honors Program at The George Washington University, completed a research fellowship at Harvard University, and finalized her dermatology training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Idriss is a Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and before that she was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at NYU. Dr. Idriss is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has published several research papers including award-winning publications on the evolution of dermatology in the digital age.
