He has also lectured at universities in both Australia and the United States. He has been a keynote speaker for numerous psychology conferences, as well as conducting workshops on many topics, including empowering minority males.

Katherine: Today our guest is Bill Johnson. He is a registered clinical psychologist at New View Psychology. He has worked with many clients experiencing anger management, clinical depression, anxiety, psychosis and personality disorders. He has also lectured at universities in both Australia and the United States. He has been a keynote speaker for numerous psychology conferences, as well as conducting workshops on many topics, including empowering minority males.
Today our focus is on males and suicide. Suicide is the leading cause of death in young men. Men are three times more likely to kill themselves than women, and suicide is the leading cause of death in men aged between 15 and 44 years old. In 2011 in Australia, it was almost double the number of young men who died by suicide compared to fatal car accidents. Bill, welcome to our show.
