Neal Howard: Hello. You’re listening to Health Professional Radio. I’m your host, Neal Howard. Childbirth is something that we’re all familiar with in one way or another. We’re either giving birth, helping with the process. We’re someone’s pharmacist, we’re someone’s gynaecologist, we’re someone’s midwife, someone’s husband, best friend. So we’re all familiar with how we get here. We’re also all familiar with the discomfort, with the fear, that is often associated with giving birth, some apprehension.

Everybody wants a healthy, happy baby and a nice, smooth pregnancy and childbirth. But sometimes, it can be scary. Our guest in studio today, Roanna Rosewood, is the Operations Director of Human Rights in Childbirth which is an international NGO based in the Netherlands. It’s great to have you here with us today, Roanna.
