Guest Bio: Pauline McKinnon is a family therapist and a Clinical Member of AAFT (Australian Association of Family Therapists), and a member of the PACFA register. She is a leader in the field of therapeutic meditation and the Founding Director of the Stillness Meditation Therapy Centre in Melbourne. Over 30 years’ personal and professional experience in the treatment of anxiety, enables her the privilege of assisting many to positively transform their lives.
Pauline’s early life journey was interrupted by acute anxiety resulting in agoraphobia, the pathological fear of leaving the safety of home. Usual interventions made no significant or lasting difference to her symptoms. She finally found effective recovery through the therapeutic Stillness Meditation originated by the eminent Melbourne psychiatrist, Dr Ainslie Meares.
