As National Vice President of Business Development, John Rothwell has executive responsibility for Premier’s supply chain and GPO business growth, which includes leading sales, business development, proposal management, and implementation teams. His teams execute on Premier’s performance improvement solutions across supply chain, purchased services, technology and consultative solutions with a focus on reducing costs, improving patient care and outcomes, and improving quality for providers. Rothwell has over 15 years of experience in business development and supply chain leadership roles spanning healthcare and financial services. Prior to his roles in business development, Rothwell held leadership roles within Premier’s sourcing organization. Rothwell led sourcing and negotiations teams across surgical services, imaging, IT, and facilities service lines with portfolios exceeding $4B in annual spend
Rothwell holds a bachelor’s degree from the college of health and human science at Purdue University and an MBA from the McColl Graduate School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, NC. He is on the board of directors for the South Charlotte YMCA, encompassing three branches that focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
