Phil Hart, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He completed training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, including a Medical Pancreatology Fellowship.
Dr. Hart is a councilor for the International Association of Pancreatology and Associate Editor for Pancreatology. He has published extensively regarding the management and long-term outcomes of autoimmune pancreatitis, pancreatogenic diabetes secondary to chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer, and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Dr. Hart is an NIH-funded investigator as a multi-PI for both the Consortium for the Study of Chronic Pancreatitis, Diabetes, and Pancreatic Cancer and Type 1 Diabetes after Acute Pancreatitis Consortium (T1DAPC), and is involved in a number of ongoing clinical trials.
