Dr. Gottlieb is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. After completing his Master of Genetics from Yale University, he earned his PhD in Chemistry and RNA Biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his post-graduate training, including a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
