A clinical psychologist, Dr. Spence founded a mental health technology company providing EAP software and services with the goal of destigmatizing and preventing exacerbation of mental illness, making it a normal and important part of each person’s overall health. Today, as the chief product officer, Dr. Spence is responsible for developing innovative technology-based tools and solutions for Uprise Health’s EAP, behavioral health, substance abuse and opioid addiction, and wellness management products. He has received several awards for his research in digital behavioral health, including the Australian National Invention and Innovation Award and the ANZ Mental Health Service Achievement Awards.
