She talks about why black women are dying at 1.5 times the rate of white women and what women should know and potentially do.

Yolanda Lawson MD, Board Certified OBGYN and Associate Attending at Baylor University Medical Center, has a genuine passion for women’s physical, emotional, and overall health. She earned her M.D. at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She performed her internship at Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her residency at St. John Hospital & Medical Center. Dr. Lawson is a member of the American Medical Association, the National Medical Association, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Dallas County Medical Society.
